Mrs. Jennie E. Mattingly 68 Flat Rock, Illinois died Tuesday October 23, 2001

at her residence. She was born November 23, 1932 in Hooker, Oklahoma and

was the daughter of Lester Fouty and Violet J. (Gray) Fouty. On January 26,

1969 she married Michael J. Mattingly. Jennie worked as a retail clerk at

Helen's Style Shop in Oblong, IL. from 1950 - 1964; as a secretary at Weber

Insurance and Realty Company, Robinson, IL. and retired in 1989 from Fair

Rite Products Company. Jennie was a member of the First Missionary Baptist

Church in Flat Rock, member of the Odds N Ends Club, Port Jackson Quilting

Bee, Past Worthy Matron of Mystic Star Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

 

Jennie is survived by her husband Michael J. Mattingly; 1 son and daughter-in-

law Chad & Mary Mattingly; 1 grandson Ross Mattingly; 1 sister and brother-in-

law Lona & Hubert Bliss; sister-in-law Eula May Fouty; several nieces and

nephews also survive. Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers

Glenn Fouty in 1987 and an infant brother Denzil Fouty.

 

Rev. Dean West will officiate and burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
